3 Crowdsourcing Projects
the skint

Three crowdsourcing projects in the works we thought you should know about.

Jeremiah Moss, of the essential website Vanishing New York, has launched what we think is a brilliant initiative to Save NYC. It's a kind of alternative landmarks preservation plan to recognize the small, quirky, mom-and-pops of New York, which give New York so much of its character. And not just recognize them but help incentivize their survival. You can help by making a video or a statement. Bravo, Jeremiah.

The Peace of Heart Choir is working on a new album of world music and need support. The volunteer community choir was launched after the 9/11 attacks to promote healing. To that end, they perform 20 or so free concerts throughout the year to hospitals, shelters and nursing homes.

Mentoring Works! wants to expand its reach by launching over 40 programs this year to serve 1,200 more children, providing mentors for kids who will benefit enormously from the help.
