Every Person in New York

Joe Baum (1920-1998) was a New York restaurateur who reinvented high-end dining in countless restaurants over a long career, including Forum of the Twelve Caesars, the Four Seasons, the Rainbow Room, and Windows on the World. His son, Charles Baum, served as general manager to the last two, and was inculcated with restaurant culture not only by his father, but his grandparents, who ran the Saratoga Springs hotel The Gross & Baum. He's just launched, with journalist Barbara McMahon, Cool Culinaria, digital prints of vintage restaurant menus and other ephemera, diner signs, food-themed t-shirts and throw pillows.
