Monotype, a comprehensive workshop at LES Printshop, 306 W. 37th [8th/9th], runs four Thursdays from November 10-December 8 (skipping 11/24), 6-9pm, $275. It's printmaking with a twist, incorporating drawing, painting and collage.

Modern Pioneering, guided by lifestyle expert Georgia Pellegrini at 92Y, teaches you how to make beeswax candles and lip balm, Sunday, October 30, 1pm, $45.

Ceramics for beginners is taught by Anne Mulford at JCC, Mondays from November 14-December 12, 6:30pm-9:30pm. $240.

Learn to make a canvas tote at a two-hour class courtesy of Make Workshop's founder Diana Rupp on Sunday, November 20, 2-4pm, $80. You should know how to thread a machine before taking the class.
