Emily Saxe: Keeping You In Mind Tour (Sponsored Email) |
Fri-Sat, Apr 4-5, 8pm The Allen Room
EMILY SAXE comes from a long line of gifted musicians (a grandfather who collaborated with the great Johnny Mercer, a mother who's an accomplishedjazz pianist), and she brings her musical legacy and talent to the fore in her extraordinary new album Keeping You In Mind. Emily is on tour to present music from this album, her fourth CD and first release in the U.S. Emily is back home after 2 Top-Ten releases in Asia and performance at the Sydney Opera House and other top Asian venues. Her latest release is filled with arrangements that are jazzy morsels of contemporary Americana, with rootsy instruments and hypnotic rhythms.
National Public Radio calls Keeping You In Mind, "a must addition to your CD collection." The Tucson Citizen describes Emily as having "….one of the world's most daringly intimate voices", and Oregon Weekly calls her latest CD "….close to perfect."
