satÂ 10am-4pm: the 34th annual korean parade (12-2pm, sixth ave from 38th to 27th st) and festival (10am-4pm, 32nd st bet. fifth ave and broadway) will feature food, k-pop musicians, floats, marching bands, traditional dances, tae kwon do exhibitions, and more.
sat 12, 2pm: impress your healthy friends and guests by taking a group dessert-making class taught by a holistic health and wellness coach utilizing ingredients that are completely gluten free, vegan, paleo and refined sugar free. queens collective, long island city. $20.
sat-sun 12-4pm: the annual autumn tours at green-wood cemetery include the normally-closed-to-the-public mausoleums and catacombs of henry steinway and stephen whitney. $20.
sat-sun 12-6pm: greenpoint open studios: 265 artists open their doors to the public with works including ceramics, jewelry, paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, and more. free.
sat 3-5pm: all pups and peeps are welcome at the second annual schnauzer + dachshund oktoberfest party at by brooklyn fine goods. proceeds benefit the sean casey animal rescue, and beer, pretzels, and bratwurst are included with admission. $10 with dog, $15 without.
sun 11am-5pm: new york magazine's fifth annual grub street food festival at the hester street fair will feature 75+ food vendors, including delaney barbecue, meat hook sandwich shop, roberta's, el quinto pino, davey's ice cream, doughnut plant, and more, as well as a beer garden with $5 suds. free admission, pay-as-you-go.
sun 12-8pm: the 27th annual deepavali festival takes over south street seaport with indian food, music, dancing, vendors, and more. a fireworks display will cap the evening at 7pm. free admission.
