sat 1pm: from vanilla, coffee, black pepper, and more, experience ingredients used in holiday cooking and baking in their natural form at an edible tour the brooklyn botanical garden's tropical pavilion greenhouse. $12.
sat 5-11pm: this month's free target first saturdays at the brooklyn museum celebrates the 'killer heels: the art of the high-heeled shoe' exhibition with music by the hot sardines, plus a shoe photo-op, fashion show, films, talks, and more. food, beer and wine are available for purchase. free admission.
sun 11am-4pm: cobble hill's ps29 hosts its sixth annual 'eat pie and shop' pie social, pie contest and holiday gift fair. $5 tasting tickets benefit the school, and toys for tots donations will be accepted.
