In God We Trust
Every Person in New York

As far as we can tell, the only talk of God in any of Shana Tabor's three
In God We Trust stores is, "God, that really looks good."

Ms. Tabor started as a jewelry designer, opening her first place in Williamsburg in 2005, another in Soho and this store/ design studio in Greenpoint. In addition to jewelry, she makes dresses, skirts and more for women. A brown wool cape coat was stylish in a past-is-present way—the website recommended it "… for strolling Central Park or catching dastardly criminals in 19th-century London." They describe the Beryl dress as polished yet comfortable. "Throw it on and conquer the world."

There is menswear, too, and accessories and apothecary from other companies. Ms. Tabor's jewelry includes perennial favorites like the Sweet Nothing brass necklaces that are hand-engraved with funny (and/or raunchy) sayings. The Ella earrings have a Deco glamour, the Rapunzel Cuff turns a braid into brass. IGWT pieces are made in Greenpoint or in the Garment Center.

While none of Ms. Tabor's shops is large, they've all got big personalities. They're stylish, warm and witty.
