Modest Needs
the skint

There aren't many businesses or organizations we can think of with the word modest in the name, so ModestNeeds.Org stands out.

More important, it stands out because of its mission. In essence, they make small grants to individuals who are in a jam. The problem — loss of job, unexpected expense — may loom large to the individual, especially these days, but the organization's motto, "Small Change. A World of Difference" gets across their point of view that a little bit of help can save someone from drowning.

You can target your donation by specific request, location, or let Modest Needs make the allocation. 100% of every donation goes to the individual or family requesting help. More information here.
