Moving Bins
Every Person in New York

On Earth Day, a use for plastic we can enthusiastically endorse.

Jugglebox and Bin It are two services that rent plastic bins to you for a move.

It's all upside. Crucial: the plastic bins won't come apart at the seams when you're carrying them down a walkup. They're stackable, which simplifies loading and unloading the truck. No need to ask trees to contribute to your move. No tape is needed to seal the boxes.

If you're worried about creepy crawlies, they're more likely to be in cardboard, particularly if you're using boxes from a market or the street. The plastic boxes are disinfected between moves anyway.

There are different packages available, depending on your needs. Jugglebox charges $129 for 35 boxes, which should be enough for an average one bedroom, with free pickup and delivery. Bin It charges the same for 30 boxes but includes a dolly.

When it comes to moving and the choice is paper or plastic, we'd definitely go with plastic.
