Newww.York

The High Line is surely one of New York's all-time most unlikely, most heartening public projects. Check out the High Line Blog, chronicling the progress of the urban Yellow Brick Road.

Here's the deal with The Disconnection: Encounters with Strangers: "There are a lot of weirdos in New York City and I'm a magnet for madness. Read about my subway adventures, getting yelled at by strangers, witnessing cat fights and being thrown into crazy situations."

Eating in Translation has become one of our very favorite food blogs. Dave Cook, equipped with a MetroCard and his Merrells, as he puts it, samples the most interesting things he finds across the five boroughs: potato leaf sauce with okra and lamb in Harlem; spicy pork in Sunset Park; and shredded-wheat rolls in Astoria.

Given the number of performances, talks and events at the 92nd St. Y, you'd expect a blog about same to be compelling reading and viewing (lots of videos). And so it is.

Neither More Nor Less is the excellent blog by Bob Arihood, mostly about the East Village: news, events, and some memorable images.

OK, greenbuildingsNYC isn't the most page-turning read out there. But it's still worth knowing about for its robust trove of info on "the intersection of legal issues and green business."
