Robin Hood Holiday Cards

Here are the depressing statistics from the Robin Hood Foundation:

1.4 million New Yorkers rely on emergency food.

40,000 NYC schoolchildren don't have a place to call home.

365,000 people look for work each day in NYC and can't find it.

Since 1988, Robin Hood has been fighting poverty in New York. Last year they funded 200 programs in that cause with $146 million. Their Charity Navigator rating is four stars.

One simple way to support what the organization is doing is to buy Robin Hood holiday cards. There are three designs—this year they're by David Hockney, Marchesa, and Hatch. A set of 10 costs $30.

They've also mobilized a large-scale effort to help victims of Sandy. You know what to do, if you can.
