Champagne Mangos
From a reader: "I've been thinking it's odd that [MUG] has not commented on the purely pornographic pleasure of the champagne mangos which are currently (and ever so briefly) in season. In past years, they came (when they came at all) from the Philippines, but this year they've arrived from Mexico and they are UNGODLY GOOD. I find myself eating them nearly nightly, scraping down to the skin with my teeth, desperately mining for the last traces of their juicy, custardy sweetness."
