Mother Nature's 26 inches of snow gave the city a rare dose of tranquility. If you found it restorative, read on.

Susan Cain, whose fascinating, pro-wallflower book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, became an unexpected hit several years ago, has a podcast in the works on the same subject. It launches February 4. [Photo: Aaron Fedor]

Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswomen of NY's 6th District (parts of Queens including JFK), introduced a bill to Congress called the Quiet Communities Act of 2015 "to reestablish the Office of Noise Abatement and Control in the Environmental Protection Agency."
