…berries…

Pick Your Own is a home-grown guide to pick-your-own farms around
the country and the world.

…popsicles…

What do we like about People's Pops? Just everything.

…rhubarb…

Stop in for a cooler at Anfora, 34 8th [Jane/W. 12th] 212.518.2722, a newly-opened wine bar that also has some effective cocktails. Specifically: the Farmer's Friend, made of rum, mint, and stalks of rhubarb.

…lobster…

From Maine to Red Hook in a matter of hours,
the freshest lobster south of Down East is at the
Red Hook Lobster Pound. Delicious lobster rolls, too.

…pickling…

Keep summer going by getting your pickle game on at the Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights. This Saturday, 2-4pm, a class in pickling, $15. Call 914.962.2368 to register.

…farmers and artisans…

At Print, 653 11th [47th/48th] 212.757.2224, they're having a dinner on July 18th (it's a Zagat event, but don't let that stop you) called Artisan at Every Table. The idea of the four-course, wine-paired dinner ($85) is that at each table, one of the farmers or artisans who grew or made the ingredients in one of the courses. Afterwards, drinks on the rooftop lounge.

…gazpacho…

An evening of gazpacho recipes and history at the Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center, 540 President [3rd/4th Ave.] 347.422.0337:
July 27th, 7-9pm, $45.
