 photography… A reader recommendation: "I went yesterday to the Minor White show at Howard Greenberg, 41 E. 57th [Park/Mad] 212.334.0010: it is stunning, great images, many well known, some not, amazing prints. He was a fine photographer and seminal teacher (there are samples of his students prints in the small rooms, e.g. Paul Caponigro), but one of the best printers ever, and these show that; they jump off the wall at you. Amazingly, almost half were already sold within the first week, pretty unusual these days. I went to the show after seeing the Turner show at the Met expecting White to pale in comparison, and he didn't.
