You can see an example, at left, of what she's up to: The Garden that Climbs the Stairs in Bilbao. Closer to home, Ms. Balmori designed the green roof on top of Silvercup Studios, which has claim to being the city's largest such roof. Her new book, Groundwork, written with Joel Sanders, has just been published. On Tuesday, November 15th, 8:15pm, Ms. Balmori will be at 92Y, talking with Peter Reed of MoMA, and showing slides of her projects. Tickets are $29.
