We're channeling our inner Casey Kasem today at WMUG. As we do seasonally, we've put together a playlist of tunes that we think make a fitting soundtrack for an autumn stroll. As usual, it's a fairly eclectic mix: a track from the new Franz Ferdinand, late-summer, sonic balm from Marjorie Fair, the nimble guitar work of Ali Farka Toure, an entry from Keb' Mo's cover album of 60's protest songs, and, to close it out, Dianne Reeves decants the Broadway from "Lullaby of Broadway" for more lullaby.
[Each of these tunes is available for 99¢ on iTunes, where you can also hear a 30-second sample. We use the genre descriptions that iTunes uses, though they're occasionally arguable. If you don't already have iTunes installed on your computer, it's a free download here.]
