Susan Rothenberg gives this year's Walter Annenberg Lecture at the Whitney on Wednesday, November 3rd, 7pm. Free, but you need to register. In the 1970s, Ms. Rothenberg made her name in Soho with large iconic horse images. She's now based in New Mexico and is married to artist Bruce Nauman.

Last week to see Greater New York at MoMA PS1, the exhibition of nearly 70 artists that centers around the process of creation.

The New York Studio School, 8 W. 8th [5th/6th] 212.673.6466, has had an Evening Lecture Series for over 40 years. Artists and art critics speak on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (usually), 6:30pm, free. Coming up, Phong Bui on October 12th, Sangram Majumdar on October 27th, and Luc Tuymans on Thursday, November 4th.

Art Resources Transfer, 526 W. 26th [10th/11th] 212.255.2919, was founded in 1987 by Bill Bartman, who passed away in 2005. They maintain their mission of giving voice to artists through their publishing program.

You don't have to be a curator to join the ICI—the Independent Curators International; you do have to join to be able attend their long-running artist studio events. An annual membership is $500. The next studio visit is a good one—it'll be with Lawrence Weiner and it takes place on Tuesday, December 14th.

You can spend an evening at the 92Y with two heavy hitters in the art world: on Tuesday, November 2nd, 8pm, Sir Norman Rosenthal talks with Anselm Kiefer, and on Thursday, November 11th with Julian Schnabel. Tickets are $29.

Visual artists Leslie Hewitt and Hank Willis Thomas discuss their work with MoMA photography curator Eva Respini at the museum on Tuesday, November 30th, 7pm, $35.

Conceptual artist Wolfgang Laib talks to the Rubin Museum of Art's chief curator on November 3rd, 7pm, $20. And at the RMA on November 8th, the museum hosts British sculptor Antony Gormley.
