Autumn in NY

We've put together a playlist called Autumn in NY — tunes that, to our ears, provides the perfect soundtrack for a fall stroll. There's a little bit of everything here, just like the city itself.

[Each of these tunes is available for 99¢ on iTunes, where you can also hear a 30-second sample of each selection. We use the genre descriptions that iTunes uses, though they're occasionally arguable. Click here to go to the iTunes store, view the playlist, and listen to samples. If you don't already have iTunes installed on your computer, it's a free download here.]

Needle jockeys, (the kind who make sweaters, that is), already know about knitty.com. Amy Singer, its editor, has just published her first book, called Knit Wit: 30 Easy and Hip Projects. This Sunday, October 10th, RedLipstick Boutique, 64 6th Ave. [Dean/Bergen] Bklyn 718.857.9534, will host a book signing and reception for Ms. Singer, from 2pm-4pm.

We gave an unwanted sex change yesterday to chef Suvir Saran of Dévi restaurant. He is most definitely a Mr., not a Ms. Our apologies.
