Darlene Love

Darlene Love had a string of hits in the 60s with producer Phil Spector, but as anyone who has heard her in concert knows, she can sing the hell out of just about anything (her version of Springsteen's "Hungry Heart" is amazing).

She'll be bringing those booming pipes to her annual holiday concert (which always sells out), this year at Symphony Space, 2537 Bway [95th] 212.864.5400. Ms. Love will also have a full choir with her, as well as guest star BJ Crosby, who won a Grammy for the recording of Broadway's "Smokey Joe's Cafe." During the two performances (December 19 and 20 at 8pm) Ms. Love will be belting out her hits and Christmas tunes, and generally raising the roof.

Rufus Wainwright performs tomorrow and Wednesday nights at Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd [6th/Bway] 212.997.1003.
