Gift Baskets
Every Person in New York

Many gourmet shops can rustle up a gift basket of some kind for you. Here are a few of the specialists.

They've been at it for over 20 years now, and Manhattan Fruitier remains the gold standard for gift baskets. Fruit, chocolate, cheese, flowers, caviar — whatever you send from them is something you'd want for yourself.

In addition to the good stuff inside, Elizabeth W. Gift Baskets, gives a lot of thought to just the right basket to hold the merch. Lots of themed ideas such as Midnight Snacks, Chicken Soup Soother, Doggie Training Kit, and a Moving Day Survival Kit.

The Basket Shop of NY has been around for over five decades. If you're looking for fashion-forward, this isn't for you. But if you're looking for something a little retro, the Basket Shop has you covered.

Edible Arrangements has about 20 stores in the city, but you can order any of their fruit arrangements online — bouquets of pineapple slices, strawberries, melon, grapes, pears. You can add chocolate-dipped fruits, too.

In the Chelsea Market, Chelsea Market Baskets has a wide variety of baskets for every conceivable occasion: babies, business, birthday, etc. We like, of course, their NY-themed baskets, as well as their sourcing of specialty foods from around the world.

Even though their West Village storefront is long gone, The Gifted Ones, now in an LIC warehouse, still does gourmet and fun specialty baskets. One of their biggest sellers is Bored Games — a bedtray filled with games and puzzles.

And a few additional ideas: Milk and Cookies Bakery, Bazzini Nuts,
fill-r-up, and igourmet
