And one from a MUG reader who wrote this to us:
"I leave next week to go back to Vietnam for six weeks, to donate my time and energies to the same organization where I spent 10 weeks earlier this year, the Global Volunteers Network. I am going to work with orphans and disadvantaged and disabled people in and around Danang, and it is, by far, the best work I've ever done. So, in preparation for my trip, I'd like to ask if you would help me raise a little money to bring with me. The GVN people in Vietnam are constantly raising money, one need at a time. This time of year is critical because funds pledged last year are nearly gone and the centers have many end of the year needs. GVN sponsors Breakfast Programs for many orphans in the area. For a mere 20 cents per child per day, GVN affords many children of all ages a nutritious breakfast every day. The GVN website allows you to buy gift certificates for my cause, while affording you a proper tax write off and receipt. You can donate as little as $30 which will feed 150 kids breakfast for one month. I hate to sound like Sally Struthers, but I would ask that you be as generous as you can so I can insure that my kiddies can have their best chance to grow and learn every day next year. When you go to the webpage, please be sure to pick the VIETNAM program.
Thanks to you all,
Kerry Flynn
