Keep this in mind for a rainy day and a Monday: at least we haven't skipped ahead to summer as New York is wont to do. Most years, you get on the subway at 14th Street and it's all 50 degrees and sweet; you get out at 96th Street, it's 85 and sweaty. So long spring, hello summer.
A soundtrack for the day, then: Passerby, the most recent album by Luluc.
Luluc is Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett, an indie-folk duo from Australia who have relocated to Brooklyn. Man, they make sweet, timeless music, led by Randell's supple voice (sometimes reminiscent of Judy Collins) and Hassett's plaintive harmonies.
Hear for yourself on their most recent album and see if it doesn't make your Monday better, or at least more of a reverie.
