From a MUG reader: "What will happen to the last most knowledgeable and friendly music nerds in the city? Who else can tell you where to find the Sinatra-Dagmar duet 'Mama Will Bark'? Where else do they spend 15 minutes helping you find a Sarah Vaughan version of 'How Long Has This Been Going On?'" He's referring to the staff at Footlight Records, 113 E. 12th [3rd/4th] 212.533.1572, which has announced it will close its doors at the end of July, when it will then sell all of its merchandise online. In the meantime, they're having a sale through July 3rd on just about everything in the store.

Here's the lineup.

You'll find the Ealing Studios Comedy Collection, a new DVD box set, a refreshing escape from the humidity. These comedies, made in the middle of the last century at England's Ealing studios, are still some of the most charming around. How could they not be, with actors like Alec Guinness, Stanley Holloway, Margaret Rutherford, and Joan Greenwood? Five of the lesser-known classics are $89.99 at Tower.
