Heather Greene
The singer-songwriter's new album, "Five Dollar Dress" is getting good buzz, and with reason. Take a listen to Ms. Greene (Time Out says she has a "velvety voice and no small understanding of melody") here. She's at Tonic tonight, 8pm, $12.

They won't be back in the city until September, but Sleater-Kinney's new CD, "The Woods" will punk-rock your world til then.

Lillias White
Ms. White has a show-stopping voice to stop all show-stopping voices and she's at Joe's Pub through Saturday, $25.
