Out of Town

An experiment. We've put together the beginnings of a little black book on travel — websites that scope out the best airfares, passport information, travel blogs, what we recommend for a flight kit — things like that.

We're calling this small guide Out of Town and we hope that it will be an ongoing, collaborative effort between MUG and readers. Send suggestions on websites and other sources of travel information, as well as suggestions on how to improve the guide (content or format) to us at office@manhattanusersguide.com and we'll keep freshening it up.

This Wednesday, 7pm, at Location One, 26 Greene [Grand/Canal] 212.334.3347, a talk by Seamus Moran, who reasons that since we humans can consider our place on the planet over the past 10,000 years, we can begin to think ahead in the same way. Mr. Moran is a professor of interdisciplinary studies with the Free InternationalUniversity started by Joseph Beuys and has worked for years with the African Rainforest Conservancy. He's also, clearly, an optimist.
