At the peaceful and beautiful OMI sculpture park and arts center, in Ghent, New York (about 15 minutes outside of Hudson), writers in residence read from their work on Saturday, May 14, 5pm, followed by a barbecue.

On Saturday, June 18, 8:30pm, the sublime Kelli O'Hara, along with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, conducted by Rob Fisher, kick off the season at Caramoor in Katonah, New York.

Bethel Woods Center in Bethel, New York, features an exhibition of images from the 60s by LIFE photographer Grey Villet, called Rights, Race & Revolutions.

Stonecrop Gardens, 12 acres of glorious gardens in Cold Spring, New York. On Saturday, June 11, 9am-1pm, an All About Alpines workshop—a lecture on the subject, followed by an alpine garden walk.

Manitoga, the former home and studio in Garrison, NY of designer Russel Wright, has its first-ever installation of contemporary art inside the house. It's called Ecstatic Light and these illuminated paintings by Peter Bynum are perfectly sympatico in this special environment.

Notorious RBG returns to Glimmerglass in Cooperstown, NY, on Friday, August 26, 3pm, to talk opera, the arts and the law, and whatever else is on her mind.

The largest movie screen in New England (the door of a North Adams, Massachusetts airplane hangar) screens Around the World in 80 Days, thanks to Mass MOCA, on Friday, July 1, 8:30pm. Plus: food and a full bar.
