Alastair Macaulay in the Times, called Gabriel Missé "a master of Argentine tango and one of the most exciting dancers of our day… He's the Mikhail Baryshnikov of tango, sweet and miraculous." His partner, Analía Centurión, is no slouch either: growing up in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, she has studied dance since age six.
Missé and Centurión will be teaching (all levels, no partner needed) and performing at Dardo Galletto Studios, 151 W. 46th [Bway/6th] 212.575.0222, from November 7-9, and 14-16.
They're offering six seminars, three-hours each ($100 per seminar) as well as private lessons. You can also see them perform at the studio on November 8 and 14 ($15 admission).
A MUG reader who has studied with Missé and Centurión says, "I can't speak highly enough of them. They are miraculous teachers and performers, no better to be found."
