fri 7pm: classic hitchcock thriller strangers on a train screens at the high line, free

fri-sun 11am-7pm: 200+ exhibitors gather at ps1 for printed matter's sixth annual ny art book fair, with artist-led workshops, readings, signings, discussions, screenings, and performances. free.

sat 11am-6pm: the annual chile pepper fiesta! spicy food creations, samples, matt timm's brooklyn chile chocolate takedown, and eight hot bands incl. lost bayou ramblers with violent femmes' gordon gano, the defibulators, terry dame + junkyard gamalan. brooklyn botanic garden, $15 (includes admission to garden).

sat 6pm-12am: bring to light: nuit blanche, an all-night public art event that takes place simultaneously worldwide, features site-specific installations of light, sound, performance and projections that fill the streets, parks and industrial waterfront of greenpoint. free.

sun 6-10pm: the hotel edison's rum house hosts a ken burns prohibition documentary viewing party with live music, food, prizes for best prohibition outfit and $5 manhattans + old fashioneds. free.
