dvd… Woody Allen's screenplay is creditable and Javier Bardem is appealing, but there are two key reasons not to miss Vicky Christina Barcelona now that it's on DVD: the gorgeous sights of Barcelona and the hilarious sounds of a volcanic Penélope Cruz (also gorgeous).

art… Christopher Miner, whose show Easter for the Birds is at Mitchell-Ines & Nash, 534 W. 26th [10th/11th] 212.744.7400, through February 13th, creates some unforgettable images and conceits. There's the memory riffle through his dead grandparents' home in the video The Best Decision Ever Made, and a video Self-Portrait that considers race in an uncomfortably compelling way.

cabaretAmanda Green, scion of a witty gene pool (Adolph Green and Phyllis Newman) brings it to Birdland on Monday, February 2nd, 7pm, for a one-night-only show called Who's Worse Than People?, with some fancy help from David Pittu, Jenn Colella, Jonathan Dokuchitz and Jenifer Foote. $30-$50.

architecture… Another installment in the surprise-hit series What is Green Architecture?: this time Berlin-based Diébédo Francis Kéré will deliver a talk called "Step by Step: Building Schools in Africa" about Gando Village in Burkina Faso and other projects.
