project Artist Cynthia Daignault's new project, The Mysterious Arrival of an Unusual Letter, in collaboration with Lisa Cooley, will take place over six months as Ms. Daignault travels around the country. During that time, she will send 180 hand-painted postcards with handwritten messages, all different, which will comprise her fall show at the Cooley gallery. One of the postcards is yours for $250.

movie Based on the book Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming, the new documentary of the same name pulls back the curtain on the mercenary, pond-scummy pundits whose job it is to confuse the issue(s) and generally gum up the works.

theater Irving Berlin couldn't read music, and he couldn't write it either, yet he is one of the all-time great songwriters. Fred Barton produces a tribute to the one-of-a-kind Berlin with a large cast of Broadway performers and a 14-piece orchestra tomorrow night, 7:30pm, Schimmel Center at Pace University. Tickets are $29-$49.
