crowdsourcing NYC illustrator Robert Scott has launched The Urban Tarot Deck, a Kickstarter campaign about "finding magic and meaning in the places you may not expect to," and that would include a New York-inspired tarot deck. There are 61 pieces remaining to finish the set. Some great rewards available, including—for big backers—the use of your image on one of the cards. The works we've seen so far make us think of the tarot, and New York, in new ways. We totally heart this one.

theater The wicked wit of Gore Vidal is showcased in The Best Man, a limited-run revival on Broadway in previews now at the Plymouth (yes, technically, the Gerald Schoenfeld). Directed by Michael Wilson, the incredible cast includes James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury, Candice Bergen, John Larroquette, Michael McKean, and Jefferson Mays.
